So what is age gate on youtube? It is a system in which youtube rank channel videos on their search ranking in different age groups.
Youtubealraedy have some filters for restricting what under age group can and cannot watch on youtube but this time they are taking it a step further.
Now how does it connect with the recent so called "glitch" according to the rumor going on.
The glitch was noticed when creators started losing subscribers in double digits. you can watch all about that in the videos which you can find in the youtube cards of this video.
This age gate program or software is being tested now on many channels on YouTube and the rumor goes on to say it is the age gate program in action unsubscribing youtube users from certain contains on their platform.
The origin of the rumor

here is the story behind the rumor. After a certain after party sponsored by big companies, attended by many youtubers and youtube employees downloading some formularsin their system was very obvious.
The consequences of downloading some of these formularis, saying something you were not suppose to say. That was the case with the youtube employee.
The employee revealed again according to the rumor that the glitch wasn't really a glitch. It was actually a system, program whatever you want to call it, in which youtubeunsubs people from consuming a particular content that is not appropriate for their age.
That the software will even rank channel videos on their search ranking in different age groups appropriate for the viewers.
Now lets break that down a little. What if I understand correctly is if you have a channel that have say volga worlds like "fucken shit or the very common one that even 5 year olds say now our days "Fuck you", your content may be categorized under the age group of say 18 to 65 just an example.
Ok if your channel already had subscriber out of that age group and you use those famous words in your videos the age gate tool will systematicaly unsub all those out of the appropriate age group.
When it comes to making a search any one out of the accepted age group of your channel will not see your videos when doing a search on youtube.
So how can you get around this age gate software and still get your videos to your target viewers. simple Try to make your content as family friendly as possible.
Now I have gone through many videos on youtube talking about this age age issue and many have given their opinion about it.
To say the list many creators are cross about the whole thing and for a good reason, because if this rumor is actually true many channels will lose a base, they have spent time, sweat and in many cases money to build and youtube, just like that starts clearing the base.
On the other hand youtube is just trying to cover their ass from say law suits that might haunt them. Many kids now a days are expose to content that they should not consume.
Yes, you might say the parents most control their children. Well, this argument can go on one day but for now i think youtube is just covering their ass.
Whatever the case the platform belong to youtube.it is their site they are entitled to make any changes that suites them

Ok, you always see this "recommended for you" in your feed, these videos that show up and you're wondering why that shows up. Well let me show you what happens.
Every time you go to YouTube and search for something, so let me show you here real quick, "YouTube loves to track what you search" and hit search it actually records that in history. Now if you're looking to delete your history let me show you how easy it is to do.
So the first thing you need to do is go over to the right-hand corner, click this little arrow, and then over to video manager. And under video manager you will see over here, mouse over to search history. And you can see that 19 seconds ago that I searched for "YouTube loves to track what you search". Now to clear this, all you need to do is select that, hit remove. Or you can clear all search history, where you can select everything, hit remove or you can hit clear all, it's that simple. Now I know there's people right now watching this video wondering what can I do to stop YouTube from tracking my movements on YouTube.com?
All you need to do is do something that was invented back in 1945! You take some aluminum foil, and you wrap it around your computer a couple of times like this, and it's amazing, they can't track you. Ok now for added protection make sure you add the hat.
Very, very important to do that, very stylish, but it also stops YouTube viewers from reading your mind. I wonder if I can get them to subscribe to my YouTube channel... why would they do that, you idiot! You didn't even iron your shirt today, look at it!... Did you know that you can actually add managers to your Youtube channel? And you can even actually change ownership. You can actually give your Youtube channel to someone else. It's pretty cool.

Now, when I first started Youtube, that wasn't possible. And I managed a lot of Youtube channels, and I had to remember all the username and passwords, and things would get confusing. And it's actually really simple now, to add or remove managers, or even change ownership.
And you're probably wondering why you want to change ownership? Well first off, you can sell it, right?
So, to add or remove managers for your Youtube channel, or even changing the ownership of your Youtube channel, what we need to do is get to my account manager for Google.
And to do this, we come up to the upper right-hand corner, and click on the avatar icon, and then we come to Youtube settings here. And then once we're here, it basically launches the overview of your account settings. You can see Managers right here.
We want to hit Add or remove managers. This is going to launch my account settings for Google. And this is attached to your Youtube channel, and G+ and Google Photos, and a few other things. Now, what we want to do is add new users. And you can come here, click on this blue button here, Manage Permissions. It's going to launch, it's going to show everybody that has permissions for your Youtube channel, and all your other Google assets. And if we want to remove someone, it's simple as, just go ahead and click on the X.
Now, to add a new Manager, what we need to do is click on this Add icon, right here. And basically, we need to put the email address of the individual we'd like to invite to become a Manager. And then right here, you're able to see you can change the ownership or make them a Manager, or even a Communications Manager. And once that's in, go ahead and hit Invite. It sends them an email inviting them to become a Manager. Once they accept that, they can now manage your Youtube channel.
Now, here's the thing, guys. You can change ownership really easy, to your Youtube channel. I showed you how simple it really is. There's a couple reasons why you want to do it. Number one, they gave you a lot of money. Someone gave you a lot of money, and this is an easy way to transfer that ownership over to someone else. The second thing this is, for some reason you got your AdSense account banned, and you can't get any monetization on your Youtube channel. Now, what I would recommend is change ownership to a different entity.
And you have a different AdSense account. And that would actually free up, to actually start monetizing. Because people make mistakes, I totally understand. And this is a legitimate way to, if you have a legitimate AdSense account that was created, that you're able to start monetizing your videos once again.
